Covid-19

The pandemic has changed the way REALTORS® conduct business.  Agents, sellers, and buyers have all been affected.  ROCC members are required to comply with state and local ordinances.  To protect property owners AND the buyers and agents entering these properties, members are:

  • Limiting showings to those not displaying symptoms, nor those recently exposed to individuals with Covid
  • Reducing the number of people allowed to tour a home at any one time
  • Providing masks and gloves to those touring properties
  • Wiping down surfaces after showings
  • Encouraging virtual showings (i.e., utilizing FaceTime)
  • Ensuring protocols are followed by third party vendors (i.e., appraisers, inspectors)
  • Meeting with clients remotely via video conferencing
  • Working from home whenever possible
  • Encouraging clients to close remotely utilizing electronic signatures

Our members understand that having a roof over your head is essential to all.  State and national REALTOR® organizations have been front and center strongly advocating for property owner and tenant rights during these uncertain times.  The Colorado state association has been in close contact with the governor's office advocating for members to be able to continue to show properties (while implementing safety precautions).  The national association has been advocating for extensions of mortgage payments, rental agreements, and eviction proceedings.  Together we are helping the economy stay open for business while simultaneously protecting the health of all parties involved.
